Israeli settlers on Friday attacked Palestinians and foreign solidarity activists and set fire to agricultural land in areas of the occupied West Bank, simultaneously with the Israeli army storming towns and villages in 4 governorates.
These attacks, according to local sources and eyewitnesses for Anadolu, come amid escalating settler attacks and Israeli army operations in the West Bank.
In the Wadi al-Hajj Isa area, between the village of Jurish and the town of Aqraba south of Nablus city, northern West Bank, settlers assaulted Palestinians and foreign solidarity activists.
In the town of Beit Furik east of Nablus, a settler provocatively roamed the eastern area, while the Israeli army set up a military checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Beita south of the city, and stormed the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya in the same area.
In Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate (central), settlers attacked a Palestinian girl who was herding sheep on the outskirts of the village of Kafr Malik northeast of Ramallah city, before dozens of youths confronted them and forced them to withdraw.
Settlers also released their livestock on the lands of the village of Umm Safa northwest of Ramallah, and others set fire to agricultural land west of the town of Sinjil, north of the city.
In Qalqilya Governorate (north), the Israeli army stormed the town of Jiyus northeast of Qalqilya city, and fired sound bombs, leading to clashes with Palestinian youths, before storming the town of Azzun east of the city.
In Bethlehem Governorate (south), Israeli forces stormed the town of Za'atara east of Bethlehem city, and stationed in several areas, with no reports of arrests or raids being carried out.
The West Bank has witnessed an escalation in Israeli army and settler attacks since October 2023, which has resulted, according to official Palestinian data, in the killing of 1,181 Palestinians and the injury of about 13,000, in addition to the arrest of nearly 24,000.
