صعدت إيران مجدداً، اليوم (السبت)، وأعلنت تعليق العمل بجميع التزاماتها الواردة في مذكرة التفاهم المبرمة مع الولايات المتحدة، متهمة واشنطن بانتهاك تعهداتها واللجوء إلى ما وصفته بـ«الأعمال العدوانية»، في مؤشر جديد على انهيار مسار التهدئة بين البلدين تحت وطأة التصعيد العسكري.

وقال نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني للشؤون القانونية والدولية كاظم غريب آبادي إن بلاده كانت منخرطة في مفاوضات مع الجانب الأمريكي عندما أقدمت واشنطن على إجراءات عسكرية تمثل انتهاكاً مباشراً للالتزامات المنصوص عليها في مذكرة التفاهم، بحسب قوله.

ونقلت وكالة «مهر» الإيرانية عن آبادي قوله إن الولايات المتحدة «داست عملياً على جميع التزاماتها وأوقفتها»، موضحاً أن طهران بالمقابل علقت كل تعهداتها بموجب الاتفاق المعروف بمذكرة تفاهم إسلام آباد، ولم تعد تنفذ أيّاً منها.

وأكد المسؤول الإيراني أن الأولوية الآن لبلاده لم تعد مواصلة المسار التفاوضي، بل الدفاع الحازم عن البلاد والرد على المعتدين، مشدداً على أن واشنطن تلقت رداً يثبت من وجهة نظر طهران أن التحركات العسكرية لن تمكنها من تحقيق أهدافها.

وطالب آبادي المسؤولين الأمريكيين باختيار مسارات أخرى غير التصعيد، مضيفاً أن الخيار المتاح أمام إيران في المرحلة الراهنة يتمثل في مواصلة الدفاع عن أراضيها والرد على الهجمات.

وأكد أنه لا توجد تطورات دبلوماسية جديدة في الوقت الحالي، في ظل انشغال إيران بمواجهة العمليات العسكرية الجارية.

ويمثل القرار الإيراني ضربة جديدة للتفاهمات التي جرى التوصل إليها بوساطة باكستانية، والتي هدفت إلى وقف العمليات العسكرية وفتح المجال أمام تسوية أوسع بين واشنطن وطهران.

وكانت مذكرة التفاهم نصت على وقف الحرب وتثبيت التهدئة وإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز أمام الملاحة الدولية، لكن الخلافات حول تفسير الالتزامات وتنفيذها ظلت تهدد الاتفاق منذ بدايته.

وجاء إعلان تعليق الالتزامات بعد اتساع نطاق الضربات الأمريكية داخل إيران، ورد طهران بهجمات صاروخية وبالطائرات المسيّرة على دول الخليج، ما أدى إلى تراجع سريع في فرص استئناف الاتصالات السياسية.

ويفتح القرار الباب أمام مرحلة أكثر غموضاً في العلاقة بين البلدين، إذ يشير إلى انتقال المواجهة من تبادل الاتهامات بشأن خرق الاتفاق إلى إعلان رسمي بعدم الالتزام به، فيما لا تزال احتمالات العودة إلى التفاوض مرتبطة بوقف التصعيد العسكري وتوافق الطرفين على إعادة تفعيل الضمانات التي قامت عليها مذكرة إسلام آباد.

Iran has escalated once again today (Saturday) and announced the suspension of all its commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States, accusing Washington of violating its commitments and resorting to what it described as "aggressive actions," in a new indication of the collapse of the de-escalation process between the two countries under the weight of military escalation.

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharib Abadi, stated that his country was engaged in negotiations with the American side when Washington took military actions that represent a direct violation of the commitments stipulated in the memorandum of understanding, according to him.

The Iranian news agency "Mehr" quoted Abadi as saying that the United States "has practically trampled on all its commitments and halted them," explaining that Tehran, in turn, has suspended all its commitments under the agreement known as the Islamabad Memorandum and is no longer implementing any of them.

The Iranian official emphasized that his country's current priority is no longer to continue the negotiation process, but rather to firmly defend the country and respond to aggressors, affirming that Washington has received a response that proves from Tehran's perspective that military movements will not enable it to achieve its goals.

Abadi urged American officials to choose other paths besides escalation, adding that the option available to Iran at this stage is to continue defending its territory and responding to attacks.

He confirmed that there are no new diplomatic developments at the moment, as Iran is preoccupied with confronting ongoing military operations.

The Iranian decision represents a new blow to the understandings reached through Pakistani mediation, which aimed to halt military operations and open the door for a broader settlement between Washington and Tehran.

The memorandum of understanding stipulated the cessation of war, the establishment of de-escalation, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation, but disagreements over the interpretation and implementation of commitments have threatened the agreement since its inception.

The announcement to suspend commitments came after the expansion of American strikes inside Iran, and Tehran's response with missile and drone attacks on Gulf countries, leading to a rapid decline in the chances of resuming political communications.

The decision opens the door to a more ambiguous phase in the relationship between the two countries, as it indicates a shift from exchanging accusations regarding the breach of the agreement to an official declaration of non-compliance, while the prospects for returning to negotiations remain linked to halting military escalation and both parties agreeing to reactivate the guarantees upon which the Islamabad Memorandum was based.
