Stellantis Vehicle Shipments Rise in Second Quarter
Stellantis, one of the world's largest automakers, reported an increase in vehicle shipments for the second quarter, driven by strong growth in North America and Europe.
Quarterly shipments rose 10% year-on-year to approximately 1.6 million vehicles, up from 1.45 million vehicles in the same period last year.
The increase was mainly driven by North America and expanded Europe, against lower sales in the Middle East and Africa due to regional conflict, according to the German news agency dpa.
In North America, shipments jumped by about 122,000 vehicles, or 38%, to 445,000 units from 323,000 units a year earlier.
Stellantis brands, headquartered in the Netherlands, include Jeep, Peugeot, Fiat, Opel, and Chrysler.
