Saudia Group and Boeing have signed a strategic agreement to enhance the fleet of Saudia Cargo with four new Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, a step aimed at supporting the company’s growth and expansion plans and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub connecting East and West. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The aircraft will be dedicated to serving key cargo destinations across four continents.

The new aircraft will be dedicated to serving key destinations within Saudia Cargo’s network spanning four continents, enhancing its ability to meet the growing demand for air freight services between the Kingdom and the world’s leading commercial and industrial centers, and supporting its expansion plans and operational capabilities development.

Eng. Al-Omar affirmed that the agreement represents an important strategic step toward enhancing the efficiency of the Group’s operational system and supporting growth in trade movement and global supply chains, noting that the new aircraft will contribute to increasing the flexibility of cargo operations, supporting national exports, enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness, and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

For his part, Omar Arekat, Boeing Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Middle East, explained that the selection of Boeing 777 freighters reflects their high operational efficiency, reaffirming the continued partnership between Boeing and Saudia Group spanning more than 75 years.

The agreement underscores the commitment of Saudia Group and Saudia Cargo to continue investing in modern technologies and operational solutions to enhance the Kingdom’s logistics capabilities, support the growth of the national economy, and solidify its position as a global gateway for trade and goods movement.

The agreement was signed in Jeddah in the presence of Saudia Group Director General Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, and was signed by Saleh Eid, Assistant Director General for Fleet Management; Eng. Loay Mashabi, CEO of Saudia Cargo; and Asaad Al-Jumoi, President of Boeing Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that Saudia Cargo transported more than 1.15 million tons of cargo through its global network during 2024 and 2025, achieving growth in revenues, national exports, and cross-border e-commerce, while maintaining an operational commitment level exceeding 90% in flight punctuality.
