50% Growth.. Logistics and Smart Transport Investments Head to $60.8 Billion by 2030
Figures from the Global Investment Summit, to be held in Paris 2026 on September 1-2, revealed expectations that investments in the logistics and smart transport sector will rise from $40.5 billion in 2023 to $60.8 billion by 2030, with an expected growth of about 50%, reflecting the growing importance of the sector in supporting trade movement, improving supply chain efficiency, and developing smart transport solutions.
The summit places this sector within growth tracks linked to technological transformation and smart infrastructure, amid growing demand for more efficient systems for managing goods movement, connecting markets, and enhancing the capacity of cities and economic zones to accommodate trade and investment expansion.
These indicators come within the map of sectors monitored by the summit until 2030, alongside real estate and construction, the financial sector, renewable energy and hydrogen, digital infrastructure, tourism and hospitality, and advanced industries, enhancing the diversity of opportunities for investors and decision-makers.
The summit aims to direct 25% of investments towards modern technologies, and adopt ESG sustainability standards in 55% of targeted projects, supporting the development of more efficient logistics solutions and enhancing the sector's ability to attract long-term capital.
Summit data indicates expected European investment flows towards the Gulf Cooperation Council countries worth $28.59 billion, in addition to targets that include developing 15 joint projects and building 8 strategic partnerships during the first year, opening the door for qualitative partnerships in trade, transport, and smart infrastructure sectors.
The summit attracts more than 2,000 participants and 100 speakers, through a program featuring 10 main sessions, 16 workshops, and over 40 bilateral meetings, making Paris an international hub that brings together capital and investment opportunities in future growth sectors.
