Water and Circular Economy Investments to Rise to $43.1 Billion by 2030
The World Investment Summit in Paris 2026 positions the water and circular economy sector among strategic growth paths linked to sustainability and quality of life, with expectations that investment volume in the sector will rise from $26.8 billion in 2023 to $43.1 billion by 2030.
This expected growth of about 61% reflects the increasing importance of solutions related to resource efficiency, recycling, waste reduction, and water infrastructure development, making the sector one of the investment pathways directly linked to the future of cities and sustainable development.
These indicators are part of the sector map monitored by the summit until 2030, alongside sectors such as energy, technology, artificial intelligence, real estate, urban development, tourism and hospitality, finance, and advanced industries, enhancing the diversity of opportunities for investors and decision-makers.
The summit aims to direct 25% of investments towards modern technologies and adopt ESG sustainability standards in 55% of targeted projects, supporting the development of more efficient and sustainable solutions and enhancing the sector's ability to attract long-term capital.
Summit data indicates expected European investment flows towards Gulf Cooperation Council countries worth $28.59 billion, in addition to targets including the development of 15 joint projects and the establishment of 8 strategic partnerships during the first year, opening the door for qualitative partnerships in sectors with economic and environmental impact.
The summit attracts more than 2,000 participants and 100 speakers, with a program comprising 10 main sessions, 16 workshops, and over 40 bilateral meetings, enhancing Paris's role as an international hub that brings together capital and investment opportunities in future growth sectors.
