The unified electronic platform for surveying public and government entities' opinions (Istitlaa), affiliated with the Saudi Center for Competitiveness and Business, launched (60) projects related to economic and developmental affairs, in collaboration with (20) government entities, to enable stakeholders to provide their views and suggestions before they are approved.

The projects on the platform included two projects: (Developing procedures for evaluating names, shapes, and designs of pharmaceutical product packaging) and (Technical requirements for public health pesticide factories and warehouses), which were introduced by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority to reduce the likelihood of medication errors resulting from verbal or visual similarity, as well as to establish occupational safety standards to protect workers and the environment from contamination risks. The survey for both projects ends at the end of July 2026. To enhance the quality of tourism services and raise compliance levels, the Ministry of Tourism introduced the project (Rules and schedule of violations and penalties for the tourist hospitality facility activity in the cities of Mecca and Medina during the Hajj season), the survey for which ends on July 30, 2026.

For its part, the Ministry of Commerce introduced the project (Ministerial decision to specify violations of sales regulations that have not yet been penalized, listed under violation number (8/1/12) in the violations table related to the competences of the Ministry of Commerce), and the survey for this project ends on July 30, 2026. The projects on the platform also included the project (Rules for informational signs), through which the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate aims to regulate informational signs to enhance visual identity, and the survey for this project ends on July 30, 2026.

The introduction of draft regulations, rules, and similar items through the Istitlaa platform comes as an affirmation of enhancing transparency in the legislative environment, spreading the culture of surveying among the public, government entities, and the private sector, and involving them in formulating projects related to the business environment.
