The UAE announced on Sunday that the value of the country's non-oil foreign trade reached AED 1.937 trillion (about $522.99 billion) during the first half of 2026, recording an annual growth of 13.1%.

This was stated in a post by the media office of the UAE government on the American platform X (formerly Twitter).

The office added that the value of non-oil exports reached AED 452.8 billion ($123.29 billion) during the first half of the year, marking a 23.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

It indicated that non-oil exports accounted for 23.4% of the country's total foreign trade, compared to 21.3% in the first half of last year.

It noted that the volume of trade with countries that have implemented Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements reached AED 304.3 billion (about $82.16 billion).

In this context, Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said: 'Today we reviewed the results of the UAE's non-oil foreign trade for the first half of 2026... and the results are historic, praise be to God.'

He added: 'Our non-oil foreign trade approached for the first time the barrier of AED 2 trillion within just six months, recording AED 1.937 trillion with an annual growth of 13.1%... while our non-oil exports achieved a new record of AED 452.8 billion.'

He continued: 'These figures are not just trade data; they are numbers reflecting the strength of our economy and the world's confidence in the UAE.'

The International Monetary Fund expects the UAE economy to grow by 3.1% in 2026.
