Arab National Bank announced a 6.5% increase in its net profit for the second quarter of 2026, reaching SAR 1.42 billion ($379.5 million), compared to SAR 1.34 billion ($356.3 million) in the same period last year.

The bank disclosed in a statement published Monday on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) that the year-on-year profit growth was driven by an increase in net gains from financial instruments measured at fair value through profit or loss, net gains from sale of investments held for non-trading purposes, net gains from foreign currency translation, as well as growth in net income from other operations and net income from special commissions.

For the first half of 2026, the bank's net profit increased by 5.4% to SAR 2.78 billion ($741.3 million), compared to SAR 2.64 billion ($704 million) in the same period last year.

In a related context, the bank's board of directors decided to distribute interim cash dividends to shareholders for the first half of 2026, totaling SAR 1.291 billion ($344.3 million), at SAR 0.65 per share, equivalent to 6.5% of the nominal share value, for approximately 1.986 billion shares.

The bank clarified that entitlement to dividends will be for shareholders who own shares by the end of trading on July 23, 2026, and who are registered in the company's shareholder register at the Securities Depository Center by the end of the second trading day following the record date, with dividend distribution starting on August 4, 2026.

The bank noted that it obtained the Saudi Central Bank's non-objection to the board's decision to distribute interim cash dividends for the first half of 2026.

It added that cash dividends transferred to non-resident foreign investors through the resident financial intermediary will be subject to a 5% withholding tax, in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Law and its implementing regulations.
