Economic / Jazan Governor Reviews Final Stages of New Jazan International Airport, Receives Annual Report of Current Airport
Jizan, Muharram 29, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 14, 2026, SPA — His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, met today in his office with the CEO of the Second Airports Cluster, Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Masrahi, and representatives of the executing agencies for the new Jazan International Airport project. At the outset of the meeting, His Highness reviewed the progress of work in the final stages of the project, following up on the latest developments, completion rates, key implemented works, and timelines for completion, ensuring the airport's readiness according to the highest operational standards, and everything that contributes to supporting air traffic and enhancing logistics services in the region. The Governor of the region also received the annual report of the current King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport for the year 2025, and listened to a detailed explanation from the CEO of the Second Airports Cluster about the report, including performance indicators, key operational achievements, services provided to passengers, as well as development plans and initiatives aimed at raising operational efficiency and improving the passenger experience. The Governor of Jazan Region directed everyone to continue efforts and coordination among all relevant parties to complete the project according to the specified timeline, and to improve the quality of services provided, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, enhancing Jazan region's status as a developmental, tourist, and investment destination, and realizing the aspirations of the wise leadership and serving the region's residents and visitors.
