The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is preparing to organize the closing ceremony of the 'Literary Partner' initiative in its fifth edition (2025–2026), on the evening of Friday, July 24, at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, according to a statement today.
This will take place in the presence of writers, intellectuals, initiative partners, and representatives of cultural and media entities, in an evening that celebrates cultural achievements and reviews the initiative's impact in enhancing the presence of literature in society.
The ceremony comes to crown a year full of cultural and literary giving, which witnessed a leap and major expansion in the initiative's tracks. In addition to the 'Cafés' track, the initiative introduced four new tracks in this edition, including cultural hobby clubs, associations, publishing houses, and shared spaces.

The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, confirmed that the 'Literary Partner' initiative has become a national model highlighting the success of the partnership between the commission and the private and non-profit sectors in supporting the literary movement.
He pointed out that the fifth edition achieved a qualitative impact in enhancing the presence of literature in public spaces, expanding the circle of community participation, and consolidating culture as part of daily life.
The ceremony will include a visual presentation documenting the initiative's journey, its key milestones and achievements, along with honoring partners and crowning winners with cash prizes totaling more than (one million) Saudi Riyals.

The initiative aims to enhance the value of literature in individuals' lives and make culture a way of life, strengthen the role of private and non-profit sector institutions in advancing the cultural sector, inspire individuals for literary and cultural production, in addition to supporting the spread of the Saudi book locally and globally, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the cultural sector and enhancing its societal presence.
The closing ceremony is expected to serve as a platform to celebrate achievements, showcase success stories, and enhance communication between partners and those interested in cultural affairs, affirming the continued role of the 'Literary Partner' initiative in establishing itself as one of the leading national initiatives in building sustainable cultural partnerships and enhancing the presence of literature in various regions of the Kingdom.
