Former OPEC Official: Global Renewable Energy Contribution Will Rise in the Next 10 Years
Former Director of Information at OPEC, Fuad Al-Zayer, affirmed that the global contribution of renewable energy will rise in the coming years.
Al-Zayer added, during his appearance on the program "Al-Ghawar" aired on Al-Ekhbariya channel, that the global contribution of renewable energy will increase over the next 10 years without eliminating fossil fuels.
He continued, stating that the Kingdom is qualified to be among the most prominent exporters of renewable energy alongside its leadership in traditional energy, as it recognizes its national responsibility regarding renewable energy production. He added that the world will realize after 10 years that it will need all types of energy without one source defeating another.
The Kingdom continues its pioneering role in expanding renewable energy, hydrogen, and carbon capture technologies, as well as supporting energy security and supply sustainability locally and globally as a major influencer in global energy markets.
