The Saudi Cabinet, during its session held on Tuesday in Jeddah chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved the unified rules for owners of joint real estate in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, a step aimed at enhancing the regulatory framework for joint real estate at the level of GCC states.

The Cabinet also approved transferring the authority to issue permits for importing, exporting, re-exporting, and clearing chemical substances traded in local markets, as stipulated in the Chemical Management System, from the Ministry of Commerce to the Ministry of Interior, the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

The Cabinet also approved a mechanism for integrating roles between the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority and the National Cancer Center at the Saudi Health Council to meet nuclear and radiological regulatory requirements.

Praise for Economic Performance

The Cabinet reviewed a number of economic reports and indicators, praising the continued stability of the annual inflation rate at 1.8% during the past period, reflecting the impact of economic reforms and fiscal policies in supporting growth and economic stability.

The Cabinet also noted Saudi Arabia's advancement to 13th place globally among the largest economies attracting foreign direct investment in 2025, according to a report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, with net FDI inflows rising 53% to $32.6 billion, supported by the growing competitiveness of the energy, infrastructure, technology, advanced industries, and logistics sectors.

The Cabinet praised the national efforts that contributed to the success of Saudi Arabia's participation in the 2026 High-Level Political Forum held at the United Nations, and what the third Voluntary National Review report reflected in terms of progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of water security, renewable energy, healthcare, digital government, industrial development, and economic growth.

Memorandum of Understanding on Peaceful Use of Outer Space

In the context of enhancing international cooperation, the Cabinet authorized the Minister of Commerce to negotiate with the Chinese side on a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of technical barriers to trade between the authority and the State Administration for Market Regulation in China, and to sign it.

It also approved a memorandum of understanding between the General Directorate of Financial Investigation under the Presidency of State Security and the Financial Intelligence Service in Ethiopia for cooperation in exchanging information related to combating money laundering, related crimes, and terrorist financing, in addition to a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Space Agency and the United Nations for cooperation on the peaceful use of outer space.

Solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan

The Cabinet followed the developments of regional events and their repercussions on international peace and security, reiterating Saudi Arabia's solidarity and full support for Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan regarding the measures they are taking against Iranian aggressions, stressing the importance of an immediate cessation of all forms of military escalation to preserve the security and stability of the region and its peoples.

The Cabinet strongly condemned what it described as false claims and accusations made by the terrorist Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that these claims are baseless and that the militia's involvement in the regional conflict to serve its agendas has deepened the suffering of the Yemeni people and threatened regional security.

The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's continued support for the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, and its taking of necessary measures to protect its security and ships in accordance with international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982.
