Aramco awards US Halliburton contract for gas development in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Aramco has awarded US-listed Halliburton a multi-year contract to provide integrated services in stimulation and well completion for the development of unconventional gas in Saudi Arabia, according to a statement by Halliburton.
The contract is part of a broader multi-billion dollar agreement for unconventional gas development, supporting one of the largest unconventional gas development programs globally, under which Halliburton will deploy intelligent automation solutions for hydraulic fracturing operations to improve performance.
The company also plans to increase its investments in local manufacturing within Saudi Arabia, enhance its supply chain, and expand workforce development programs inside the kingdom to scale up operations.

Rami Yassit, President of Halliburton's Eastern Hemisphere region, said: 'Starting from the third quarter of 2026, the company will deploy the first fully integrated intelligent fracturing platform in the kingdom through OCTIV® Auto Frac and Sensori services to monitor fracturing operations.'
According to Yassit, this contributes to enhancing asset value for one of the largest unconventional fields in the world.
Halliburton, founded in 1919, is currently one of the world's leading providers of products and services to the energy sector, working on innovating new technologies, products, and services.
