Gold price rose today, Wednesday, to its highest level in nearly two weeks, supported by technical buying, as investors await the Federal Reserve (US central bank) meeting next week for clues on interest rate expectations.

Spot gold rose 0.9% to $4,113.73 per ounce, after hitting its highest level since July 10.

As for other precious metals, spot silver rose 1.8% to $59.82 per ounce. Platinum rose 1.6% to $1,655.61, and palladium rose 1.6% to $1,302.25.
