The General Authority for Statistics' bulletin on average commodity and service prices showed that iron prices in Saudi Arabia rose on a monthly basis in June, with the exception of one category.

According to the bulletin, the price of 8 mm iron rose by 0.3% month-on-month in June, reaching 3,310.3 riyals per ton.

Iron Prices

The price of 6 mm iron remained stable at 4,145.4 riyals per ton, while the price of 10 mm iron rose by 0.5% to 3,358.9 riyals per ton.

The bulletin stated that the price of 10 mm electrical cables rose by 2% to 26.7 riyals per meter in June month-on-month. The price of 25 mm electrical cables rose by 2.6% in June month-on-month, recording 59.7 riyals per meter. The price of 35 mm electrical cables rose by 0.8% month-on-month to 77.9 riyals in June. The price of 50 mm electrical cables rose by 1.4% in June month-on-month, reaching 109.6 riyals per meter. The price of 70 mm electrical cables rose by 1.1% month-on-month in June, recording 159.2 riyals per meter. The price of 95 mm electrical cables saw an increase in June month-on-month of 1%, recording 211.8 riyals per meter. The price of 120 mm electrical cables rose month-on-month in June by 2.1% to 257 riyals. The price of 300 mm electrical cables fell by 0.1% in June month-on-month, recording 637.1 riyals per meter.

Aluminum and Wood

The price of aluminum (Saudi side ring) rose by 1.1% month-on-month in June, recording 103.6 riyals for 5.8 meters. The price of Chilean wood fell by 1% to 1,636.9 riyals per cubic meter, while the price of Romanian wood rose by 1.6% to 1,661.7 riyals.

The price of African teak wood rose by 0.7% to 6,999.7 riyals per cubic meter, while the price of Indonesian plywood fell by 0.8% to 3,198.2 riyals per cubic meter.
