Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of the Regional Development Authority, Deputy Governor Mohammed bin Sultan bin Jreis inaugurated the production expansions of the Asir Cooperative for Poultry Producers and launched its new corporate identity, during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Interior Staff Club in Abha.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asir Cooperative for Poultry Production, Abdullah bin Ayed Al-Qahtani, explained that the production expansions and the launch of the new corporate identity represent a strategic milestone in the cooperative's journey, contributing to food security goals, achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030, and raising the efficiency of national production. He emphasized that these expansions signify a qualitative leap in the cooperative's path by enhancing production capacity, improving operational efficiency, increasing local content, creating quality job opportunities, and expanding partnerships with the public and private sectors, thereby strengthening Asir Region's position as a promising investment destination in the food industries sector.

CEO of the Arab Cooperative Company 'Origins Poultry', Dr. Abdullah Kadman, stated that the cooperative is one of the largest poultry producers in the Kingdom, the largest poultry production facility in the southern region, and the fifth-largest poultry producer in the Middle East. He noted that Origins Poultry's journey began in 2013 with a vision centered on quality and commitment, aiming to raise its production capacity to 550,000 birds per day by 2029, equivalent to 140 million birds annually, which will contribute to raising its share of the local GDP to 10%, in line with the targets of Vision 2030.

He reviewed the key stages of growth and expansion that the cooperative has witnessed since its inception, its achievements in localization, qualification of national competencies, and enhancement of strategic partnerships, as well as its economic and social impact, and its future vision and development plans for the coming phase.
