China: Financial Revenue Up 4.7%

During the first half of 2026

China's financial revenue rose 4.7% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, reaching 12.1 trillion yuan (about 1.78 trillion US dollars).

Data from China's Ministry of Finance showed that the revenue growth rate continued to improve compared to the first five months of the year, when it stood at 4%. According to the ministry, tax revenue from January to June reached 9.79 trillion yuan, recording a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.

In contrast, fiscal spending rose 1.5% year-on-year, reaching 14.33 trillion yuan over the same period.
