Najran, 24 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 09, 2026, SPA - The 'Najran Bounties' festival, which launched yesterday, organized by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the region, is witnessing wide participation from organic farms showcasing their agricultural products, aiming to highlight the quality of local production and promote organic farming culture. The festival includes pavilions for a number of organic farms, allowing visitors to learn about the quality of organic products in the region, which are cultivated using the latest technologies and modern methods, without the use of chemically manufactured fertilizers, materials and pesticides. These products include tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, zucchini, okra, eggplant, strawberries, coffee, and various leafy greens, among other products whose cultivation has been proven successful by experiments, due to Najran region's ideal agricultural characteristics, such as fertile soil, abundant water, and moderate climate, which have helped farmers increase production, in addition to innovating new agricultural products. The region has 5 organic farms, covering an area of 55 hectares, producing 227 tons of organic agricultural products. A number of farmers affirmed that the festival is an opportunity for them to showcase their diverse agricultural crops that yield profitable returns and contribute to boosting the local economy, pointing out that organic farms are witnessing increasing demand from consumers due to their high quality and healthy production, which encourages them to expand organic farming and raise production efficiency to meet the growing demand in markets.
