The branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Najran region carried out 39,800 inspection tours on mosques during the first half of 2026, as part of efforts to monitor the conditions of the houses of God and improve the services provided to worshippers.

The ministry explained that the tours included field inspections of maintenance, cleanliness, and operation works, in addition to following up on the facilities of mosques and verifying the commitment of their staff to performing the tasks assigned to them.

It added that the inspection teams worked on monitoring observations and violations, and referred them to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures.

In the same context, the ministry affirmed that these tours come as an extension of its efforts to follow up on the needs of mosques and address observations, with the aim of raising the quality of services and creating a suitable atmosphere for worshippers to perform prayers and acts of worship in tranquility and reassurance.
