Data from the Global Investment Summit, scheduled to be held in Paris on September 1–2, 2026, revealed expectations of a rise in European investments in the banking, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries from $11.2 billion in 2023 to $19.4 billion by 2030, an expected increase of $8.2 billion and a growth rate of nearly 73%.

This expected growth reflects the rising attractiveness of the Gulf financial sector, amid the expanding role of banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions in financing projects, supporting financial innovation, and developing cross-market investment instruments.

The summit aims to direct 25% of investments toward modern technologies and adopt ESG sustainability standards in 55% of targeted projects, with the goal of channeling capital toward more efficient and sustainable sectors and enhancing opportunities for building quality partnerships between investors, decision-makers, and executives.

Summit data indicates expected European investment flows to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries amounting to $28.59 billion, along with targets including the development of 15 joint projects and the establishment of 8 strategic partnerships within the first year.

The Global Investment Summit will be held in the French capital Paris, as part of an international program bringing together more than 2,000 participants and 100 speakers, through 10 main sessions, 16 workshops, and over 40 bilateral meetings, in a path that connects capital with investment opportunities and opens wider horizons for growth and partnership until 2030.
