50 Billion Dollars in European Investments Expected in the Gulf by 2030
Data from the World Investment Summit, scheduled to be held in Paris from September 1 to 2, 2026, showed expectations that the volume of European investments directed to the Gulf region will rise from $28.59 billion in 2026 to $50 billion by 2030.
The summit figures indicated that investments will witness notable annual growth, reaching $32.88 billion in 2027, then $37.81 billion in 2028, $43.48 billion in 2029, before stabilizing at $50 billion in 2030.
Growth in the Share of Emerging Technologies and Sustainability
Summit data pointed to an increase in the share of investments directed to emerging technologies from 25% in 2026 to 30% by 2030, while sustainability (ESG) indicators will rise from 55% to 70% during the same period.
The data added that the number of partnerships will increase from 8 partnerships in 2026 to 11 partnerships in 2029 and 2030, with the number of projects rising from 15 projects in 2026 to 25 projects in 2030.

For its part, the agenda of the World Investment Summit confirmed that these indicators reflect a clear trend towards deploying capital in innovative sectors and more efficient and sustainable projects, while enhancing the presence of emerging technologies and sustainable investment in growth paths until 2030.
