European stocks fall at market open

European stocks recorded a decline at the start of trading today, amid anticipation of developments in the Middle East and rising oil prices.

The French CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange fell by 0.83%, while the German DAX index in Frankfurt dropped by 0.66%. The Italian Milan stock exchange index fell by 1.32%, the British FTSE 100 index in London fell by 0.27%, and the European STOXX 600 index declined by 0.5% to 643.47 points.
