Finance Professor: Saudi Banks' Results Exceed Expectations, Deposit Growth Leads in Current Quarter
Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulom, Professor of Finance and Investment at Imam University, confirmed that 'all Saudi banks that have announced their results so far recorded profits higher than expectations.'
Al-Sulom explained, in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel, that 'the current quarter witnessed a notable shift, as deposit growth was stronger compared to previous periods, after loans had been driving growth rates in past quarters.'

He added that 'the provisions set aside by banks reflect future expectations regarding loan collection, more than being a direct reflection of geopolitical developments in the region.'
