Today's Weather Forecast: Wind and Dust in 5 Regions
The National Center for Meteorology reported in its forecast for today's weather - God willing - that maximum temperatures will remain high in parts of Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern Province regions. Active winds raising dust and sand will continue to affect parts of those regions as well as parts of Riyadh and Najran regions and the eastern parts of the southwestern highlands of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, there is a chance of thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Bahah regions, extending to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region. The report indicated that surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–40 km/h in the northern part, and northwesterly to northerly at 25–55 km/h in the central and southern parts, with wave heights from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and from one and a half to two and a half meters in the central and southern parts. The sea state will be moderate waves in the northern part and moderate to rough in the central and southern parts. Wind movement over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to westerly at 10–30 km/h in the southern part, with wave heights from one to two meters in the northern and central parts, and from half a meter to one and a half meters in the southern part. The sea state will be moderate waves in the northern and central parts and light to moderate in the southern part.
