Riyadh, 27 Muharram 1448 H (July 12, 2026) – The Saudi General Authority for Real Estate announced the start of real estate registration for (1,469) properties in the regions of Makkah, Tabuk, and Riyadh, beginning on Sunday, July 19, 2026, corresponding to 5 Safar 1448 H, until the end of Thursday, October 22, 2026, corresponding to 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 H. The Authority clarified that the neighborhoods benefiting from the real estate registry in this phase in the Makkah region (Taif Governorate) are: (part of Um al-Rasaf neighborhood, part of al-Qarahi neighborhood, part of Um al-Arad neighborhood). Registration will also begin for a number of properties in the Tabuk region (Umluj Governorate) and in the Riyadh region (Afif Governorate). It stated that the selection of neighborhoods was based on specific criteria, and the remaining regions, governorates, and neighborhoods subject to real estate registration works will be announced gradually in the coming periods. The Authority noted that the first registration of properties in these areas and neighborhoods will be available through the electronic real estate registry platform (https://rer.sa) or through service centers. It highlighted that the registration requires a valid title deed meeting the system requirements to complete the process. The Authority called on property owners in the areas and neighborhoods subject to registration to verify their title deeds and ensure that all necessary conditions are met in preparation for the start of registration. Inquiries about the registration steps can be made through the Authority's official platforms or by calling the customer service center at 199002. Starting from the specified date, a "property number" and a registration deed will be issued for each registered property unit. The registration deed will include the property's data, description, status, and associated rights and obligations linked to accurate geospatial information, contributing to enhancing infrastructure and sustainability of the real estate sector. The real estate registration system aims to increase real estate reliability and enhance transparency in the sector.
