Gold prices fell in Asian trading today, while other precious metals saw a notable rise.

Spot gold fell 0.4% to $4,000.55 per ounce, after hitting a two-week low last Friday, with total weekly losses of 2.5%.

U.S. gold futures for August delivery also fell 0.3% to $4,005.9 per ounce.

In contrast, other precious metals rose; spot silver gained 0.9% to $56.42 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1% to $1,592.97 per ounce, and palladium increased 0.3% to $1,251.74 per ounce.
