Singapore, July 20 (QNA) - Gold prices fell during Asian trading today, while some other precious metals rose during trading.

The spot gold price fell 0.4 percent to 4000.55 dollars per ounce, after hitting a two-week low on Friday and losing 2.5 percent over the week. U.S. gold futures for August delivery also fell 0.3 percent to 4005.9 dollars per ounce. In contrast, other precious metals rose, with spot silver rising 0.9 percent to 56.42 dollars per ounce, platinum rising 0.1 percent to 1592.97 dollars per ounce, and palladium rising 0.3 percent to 1251.74 dollars per ounce.
