Spot gold rose 0.9% to $4,113.3 per ounce, marking its highest level since July 10, while US gold futures for August delivery jumped 1.1% to $4,119.1.

This rise is supported by technical buying, amid the prevailing anticipation in markets ahead of the upcoming Federal Reserve (the US central bank) meeting next week, which investors are looking to for clear indications on interest rate expectations.

Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 1.8% to $59.82 per ounce, while platinum climbed 1.6% to $1,655.61, and palladium gained 1.6% to $1,302.25.
