Spot gold prices fell by 0.6% in today's trading, settling at $4,034.42 per ounce, amid continued geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East with no signs of tensions easing.

In futures trading, US gold futures for August delivery dropped 0.3% to $4,039.90 per ounce.

The decline extended to other precious metals, with spot silver falling 1.1% to $57.14 per ounce, platinum down 0.6% to $1,664, and palladium slipping 0.3% to $1,309.86.
