Spot gold fell 0.2% to $4,007.91 per ounce, and US gold futures for August delivery fell 0.1% to $4,015.90 per ounce. Gold's performance was affected by a 0.2% rise in the US dollar index, along with an increase in ten-year US Treasury yields, which added pressure on the precious metal. In contrast, other precious metals recorded limited gains, as silver prices rose 1.2% to $56.55 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1% to $1,592.86, and palladium rose 0.9% to $1,258.83 per ounce.
