The International Technical College for Aviation Sciences in the Saudi capital Riyadh celebrated the graduation of the 2025/2026 training year batch, totaling 1,611 male and female graduates in aircraft engineering and maintenance disciplines, in the presence of military and executive leaders, representatives of airlines and related industries, and under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Bunyan.

The ceremony witnessed the graduation of the first batch of female trainees in aircraft engineering and maintenance, comprising 48 graduates, a step that reflects the growing participation of Saudi women in advanced technical disciplines and enhances their presence in the aviation sector.

88 % employment rate within 6 months of graduation

The college achieved an employment rate of 88% within 6 months of graduation, reflecting the alignment of training programs with labor market needs, the quality of outputs, and the effectiveness of the partnership between the training system and entities operating in the aviation sector.

The CEO of the Excellence Colleges, Engineer Ayman Al Abdullah, affirmed that what has been achieved in qualifying specialized national talents is an extension of the support that the leadership gives to the education and training sectors, and empowering the sons and daughters of Saudi Arabia in qualitative and promising disciplines.

He explained that the college has graduated more than 10,000 graduates since its establishment in 2014, noting that employment results confirm the connection of training programs with the sector's needs, and the ability of graduates to compete in technical and professional disciplines, appreciating the role of government and military entities, airlines, and industry in supporting training and providing job opportunities, contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Partnerships with the aviation sector to enhance national competencies

For his part, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Culture at Riyadh Air, Nahar Al-Juhani, affirmed during his speech representing the college's partners, the importance of integration between training institutions and sector companies in preparing national competencies, noting that Riyadh Air sponsored 27 female trainees within the first women's batch in aircraft engineering and maintenance.

He explained that the sponsorship reflects Riyadh Air's commitment to investing in national talents, supporting the empowerment of Saudi women in technical professions, and building sustainable career paths that meet the needs of the aviation sector.

The college offers specialized training programs in aircraft structures, mechanics, avionics, and unmanned aircraft maintenance, within a training environment that combines theoretical qualification and practical application, contributing to preparing national competencies according to the requirements of the aviation sector and enhancing its competitiveness.
