The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia officially deposited its instruments of accession to the Riyadh Design Law Treaty and the Madrid Protocol concerning the International Registration of Marks, with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on the sidelines of the meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the organization held in Geneva.

The deposit ceremony took place in the presence of the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Suwailem, and the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva, Abdulmohsen bin Majid bin Khathila.

This accession reaffirms the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening the intellectual property system, expanding the scope of services provided to beneficiaries, and supporting the competitiveness of the national economy, as it enables rights holders to benefit from international systems that facilitate procedures for protecting trademarks and designs at both the international and domestic levels.
