Kuwait Stock Exchange closes trading higher

Kuwait, July 6 /QNA/ The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading today higher, with its general index rising 41.85 points, or 0.48 percent, to reach 8,738.98 points.

A total of 392.7 million shares were traded, through 22,815 cash transactions worth 96.9 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 315.5 million US dollars).

The main market index lost 14.14 points, or 0.16 percent, to reach 8,828.93 points, through trading of 252.6 million shares, via 13,178 cash transactions worth 41 million dinars (approximately 133.5 million dollars).

In contrast, the premier market index gained 55.92 points, or 0.61 percent, to reach 9,173.40 points, through trading of 140.1 million shares, via 9,637 transactions worth 55.9 million dinars (approximately 182 million dollars).

The 'Main 50' index also rose 4.12 points, or 0.04 percent, to reach 10,061.64 points, through trading of 231.9 million shares, via 10,771 cash transactions worth 37.9 million dinars (approximately 123.4 million dollars).
