In terms of classifying investors by investment behavior, the ownership of institutional investors decreased by approximately 35.67 billion riyals to reach 9,119.74 billion riyals, while the ownership of non-institutional investors decreased by about 130 million riyals to reach 413.95 billion riyals.
Foreign Institutions' Purchases
According to the "Tadawul" report, the net purchases of foreign institutions in the main market amounted to approximately 109.3 million riyals during the week ending July 16, 2026.
According to the report, foreign institutions accounted for 39.74% of total purchases and 39.13% of total sales during the week.
Sales by Saudis
In contrast, the net sales of individual Saudis reached approximately 186 million riyals, primarily pressured by specialized individual investors who recorded net sales of about 155.9 million riyals, and managed individual portfolios of about 133.1 million riyals, against net purchases by individual investors of about 60.1 million riyals, and major individual investors of about 42.9 million riyals.
The net sales of Saudi institutions reached approximately 7.3 million riyals, primarily pressured by investment funds that recorded net sales of about 218.5 million riyals, and government entities of about 165.8 million riyals, against net purchases by companies of about 349.6 million riyals, and managed institutional portfolios of about 27.4 million riyals.
