The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced the addition of the 'JAS' shipping service, operated by Global Feeder Shipping, to Jeddah Islamic Port. This move enhances the competitiveness of Saudi ports on the maritime transport map, supports the fluidity of global trade, and increases operational efficiency.

The new shipping service will also connect Jeddah Islamic Port with Aqaba Port, with a capacity of up to 979 standard containers (TEUs). This is part of Mawani's efforts to boost the competitiveness of Jeddah Islamic Port on the global maritime transport map, support national exports, and enable national companies to access new markets, thereby improving the Kingdom's ranking in global logistics performance indicators.

The service also contributes to raising the operational efficiency of the port and maximizing its competitive advantage, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the transport and logistics sector and strengthening the Kingdom's role as a regional and global logistics hub and a link for international trade.

Jeddah Islamic Port is one of the most important strategic ports in the Kingdom on the Red Sea. It plays a pivotal role in connecting the Kingdom with global markets and boasts advanced infrastructure and integrated logistics facilities that enhance international trade and serve global supply chains.
