Minister of Commerce and Industry Stresses Importance of Continuing Field Market Monitoring

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of continuing field monitoring of markets and enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to ensure market stability and the availability of basic commodities for consumers.

This came during His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry's visit to the ministry's operations center, where he reviewed the level of strategic stock of basic commodities and the mechanisms for monitoring supply chains, as part of his continuous follow-up on the work progress in the ministry.

A statement from the ministry today indicated that His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, during the visit, listened to a briefing on measures taken to ensure supply stability, and coordination mechanisms with suppliers and relevant authorities, contributing to market stability and ensuring smooth flow of goods.

His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry praised the efforts exerted by ministry staff, appreciating their constant readiness to monitor markets and deal with various changes, which contributes to maintaining market stability and meeting consumer needs.
