An informed source told Al-Sharq Bloomberg that the text of the peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement signed between Saudi Arabia and the United States does not include any link between its implementation and normalization of relations with Israel.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that the Kingdom's position on normalization with Israel has not changed, referring to Riyadh's insistence on a clear political path leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The source's statements come after US President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that approval of the nuclear deal is 'completely tied' to Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords.

"No coordination with Saudi Arabia"
The same source had earlier revealed to Al-Sharq Bloomberg that Trump's announcement linking the nuclear deal to normalization was not pre-coordinated with the Kingdom, and that Riyadh was not aware of his intention to raise this link.
The American website Axios also reported that there are no indications that the text of the nuclear energy agreement itself links its implementation to normalization.

Nuclear energy agreement between America and Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia and the United States signed on Thursday a peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement known as the '123 Agreement,' along with an accompanying bilateral safeguards agreement.
The US Department of Energy said the agreement establishes the legal foundation for a multi-decade partnership worth billions of dollars, and supports economic and strategic goals including nuclear non-proliferation.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has affirmed on several occasions that establishing diplomatic relations with Israel remains linked to reaching a political path leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
