National Debt Management Center Completes Early Buyback Worth Over 17 Billion Riyals

The National Debt Management Center announced the completion of an early buyback of part of the Ministry of Finance's (the issuer) outstanding maturities in the years (2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030) with a total value estimated at approximately (17.1) billion Saudi riyals, in addition to issuing new sukuk with a total value of approximately (17.2) billion Saudi riyals.
This initiative is a continuation of the efforts exerted by the Center to strengthen the local market, activate its role in managing government debt obligations and future maturities, and ensure the integration of the Center's efforts with other initiatives to enhance the public finances of the state in the medium and long term.
The Center divided the new sukuk issuances into five tranches with a total value of approximately (17.2) billion Saudi riyals. The first tranche was valued at approximately (1.45) billion riyals with a maturity date in 2031 AD, the second tranche valued at approximately (1.62) billion riyals with a maturity date in 2033 AD, the third tranche valued at approximately (10.55) billion riyals with a maturity date in 2036 AD, the fourth tranche valued at approximately (1.74) billion riyals with a maturity date in 2039 AD, and the fifth tranche valued at approximately (1.80) billion riyals with a maturity date in 2041 AD.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Finance (the issuer) and the Center jointly appointed HSBC Saudi Arabia, Al Ahli Financial Company, Al Rajhi Financial Company, Al Jazira Capital, and Alinma Financial Company as lead managers for this transaction.
