Number of Umrah visa arrivals rises to 931,500 since start of Umrah season until end of Muharram

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Guests of Rahman Service Program announced that the number of Umrah visa arrivals has risen to 931,500 pilgrims since the start of the Umrah season on the 15th of Dhu al-Hijjah until the end of Muharram 1448 AH, a growth rate of 22.5% compared to the same period last year, while the number of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom exceeded 1.27 million.

The ministry added, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency, that according to statistics for the period from 15 Dhu al-Hijjah to the end of Muharram 1448 AH, 75% of foreign pilgrims entered the Kingdom through air ports, while 25% entered through land and sea ports.

It pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan ranked first in terms of the number of pilgrims arriving, with 200,000 pilgrims, followed by the Republic of Indonesia with 170,000, and the Republic of Iraq ranked third with 130,000 pilgrims.

The ministry affirmed that this reflects the great support that the Guests of Rahman service system receives from the leadership, and the system's integration among government agencies, and continuous development of digital and operational services, which contributes to enhancing the experience of pilgrims and visitors and improving the quality of services provided to them.
