The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed a notable growth in the number of Umrah pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the 1448 AH Umrah season, with total arrivals exceeding 1.27 million pilgrims since the start of the season on 15 Dhu al-Hijjah until 29 Muharram.

The ministry's statistics showed that the number of arrivals with Umrah visas reached 931,500, recording a growth of 22.5% compared to the same period last year, indicating rising demand for performing Umrah from various countries around the world.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan topped the list of countries sending the most Umrah pilgrims with about 200,000 pilgrims, followed by the Republic of Indonesia with 170,000 pilgrims, then the Republic of Iraq with 130,000 pilgrims.
