The Chief Operating Officer of Emaar Economic City, Engineer Majed Abdullah Mutaboli, said that the indicators at the end of 2025 were promising, expecting the numbers to become even more promising in the coming years with the completion of factories, tourist centers, and residential projects.
Mutaboli explained that the transformation process takes time, especially in a city spanning 185 million square meters, noting that the industrial sector is one of the foundations of the city's economic and financial construction, and has seen significant development over the past five years with the signing of major and vital projects.
He added that the company is also relying on the tourism sector by signing agreements with companies, including the alliance of Tahalof, Mian, and Rixos, pointing out that job creation and an integrated system will also support the residential sector over time.
He pointed out that King Abdullah Economic City is located between Mecca and Medina, and the Haramain train passes through it, connecting it to about 7 to 8 million people, which supports the logistical, residential, and tourism aspects.
Regarding the contract signed with Nesma & Partners Contracting Company, Mutaboli expected that the contract upon completion would serve about 8.5 million square meters, explaining that the contract includes the implementation of infrastructure works, cables, water and sewage supplies, and roads that serve the special economic zone and the industrial zone, especially the first phase of King Salman Complex.
He pointed out that the most prominent of these projects are the Lucid car manufacturing project in its second and third phases, the national car manufacturing company Ceer project, and Hyundai Middle East, along with the project of Al-Juffali & Brothers for assembling Mercedes trucks and other German companies, indicating that the project represents an infrastructure for the automotive cluster in King Salman Complex within the special economic zone.
Mutaboli added that the project will serve a number of other existing projects, in addition to projects expected to be signed in the coming period.
According to Argaam data, the company had announced today the signing of a contract with Nesma & Partners Contracting Company, valued at 547.4 million riyals, excluding value-added tax.
