Saudi Stock Index Rises 15 Points, Breaks 10,720 Level
The Saudi main stock index (TASI) closed up 15.77 points, reaching 10,720.28 points, with total trading value of 3.3 billion riyals.
The volume of traded shares reached 163 million shares, according to the daily economic bulletin of the Saudi Press Agency, with shares of 112 companies rising and shares of 140 companies falling.
Shares of Abu Maati, Sadaq, MTC, Petro Rabigh, and Printing and Packaging topped the gainers, while shares of Electrical Industries, Naseej, Al-Etihad, Leejam, and Thimar were the biggest losers, with percentage changes ranging between 6.42% and 7.89%.
In terms of activity, shares of Americana, Petro Rabigh, Maharah, Electrical Industries, and Saudi Aramco topped the most active by volume, while shares of Rasen, Al Rajhi, Al Ahli, Saudi Aramco, and Petro Rabich led in trading value.
In contrast, the parallel market index (NOMU) closed down 342.48 points, settling at 22,239.31 points, with trading value of 15 million riyals and a volume exceeding 2.1 million shares.
