The Saudi Stock Exchange index (TASI) opened Wednesday on a relatively stable note at 10,710 points, with trading value reaching about 200 million riyals.

According to "Saudi Tadawul," the volume of shares traded in morning sessions amounted to about 12.3 million shares, while the market capitalization of the main index reached 9.574 trillion riyals.

Shares of 100 companies rise

The session opening saw shares of 100 companies rising compared to a decline in shares of 120 companies, out of a total of 270 companies listed on the main market.

Topping the gainers list were shares of: Electrical Industries, Ades, Al-Fakhriyah, Alistithmar REIT, and Production. In contrast, the most notable declines were in shares of: Petro Rabigh, Al-Waha, Advanced, Tihama, and Paper Industry.

Parallel market

The parallel market index (Nomu) rose at the start of Wednesday trading by approximately 0.1% to 22,559 points. The traded value reached 566,000 riyals, and the volume of shares was about 80,000 shares, while the market capitalization stood at 38.9 million riyals. Shares of 7 companies rose and shares of 4 companies fell at the session opening, while the number of companies listed on Nomu reached 126.
