Logistics and supply chain specialist Engineer Khaled Al-Ghamdi said that Saudi ports have succeeded with their contingency plans in ensuring the flow of exports and imports to and from the Kingdom and the Gulf countries despite regional challenges.

He added in a phone interview on "Al-Akhbariya" that the largest port in the Kingdom today, the Islamic Port of Jeddah, dealt proactively with logistical developments in the region, as well as with various government entities, which resulted in a shift from the eastern coast, whether for the Kingdom or Gulf countries, to the western coast, leading to smooth movement of supply chains for the Kingdom and sister Gulf countries.
