The meeting's proceedings opened with a speech by Engineer Mohammed Hamza Al Qasim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Bureau, in which he emphasized the importance of anticipating the future of education and preparing for its transformations. He said: 'Our responsibilities today go beyond following up on existing programs and projects; they include anticipating the future, preparing for its transformations, and investing in the opportunities offered by the technological revolution and artificial intelligence, to enable our educational systems to prepare generations that possess the knowledge, skills, and values that qualify them to compete and contribute effectively to the development of their homelands.'

Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Sunaidi, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, also delivered a speech in which he praised the role and strategy of the Bureau in enhancing Gulf educational integration, stressing that the strategy of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States represents an ambitious framework for strengthening Gulf educational integration.

For his part, the Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al Muqbil, reviewed the Bureau's journey and its role in supporting joint Gulf educational work. He said: 'As we recall today the journey of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, we take pride in the qualitative achievements it has made that have contributed to strengthening joint Gulf educational work, thanks to the generous support of Their Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses, the leaders of the member states, and the continuous follow-up of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Education.'

The scientific program accompanying the meeting included two workshops. The first, titled 'Shadow Education,' addressed the phenomenon of private tutoring and its educational, social, and economic dimensions, as well as related policies and regulatory options.

The second workshop was titled 'Advantages and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Education.' The Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar presented a presentation titled 'Energies That Make Achievement, Capabilities That Shape the Future,' which addressed the education system for students with disabilities in Qatar and its integrated efforts toward providing inclusive and equitable education.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States' role in supporting the march of joint Gulf educational and pedagogical work, enhancing coordination and exchange of expertise among member states, and discussing priority issues, thereby contributing to the development of educational systems and enhancing their readiness to keep pace with future transformations and requirements.
