The Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) announced that its subsidiary SRMG Media Solutions (SMS) has signed a contract with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) to provide sponsorship and advertising services, as the media representative of Thamanya for Publishing and Distribution.
The group clarified in a statement on Tadawul today, Tuesday, that the contract grants STC exclusive rights in the telecommunications category within the events and tournaments for which Thamanya holds media rights, including the Saudi Professional League, the King Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the First Division League.
It added that the agreement includes, in addition to sponsorship rights, a package of media and advertising benefits according to the terms and conditions agreed upon between the two parties, noting that the contract term extends for three years, and that its value exceeds 5% of the company's total revenue according to the 2025 financial statements, without disclosing the financial value of the contract.

The group expected that the financial impact of the contract would start appearing in its financial results from the third quarter of 2026, according to the levels of implementation of contractual obligations, and the company confirmed in its disclosure that there are no related parties in the contract.
The Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) had announced last May that its subsidiary 'Al Arabiya Media' entered into an arrangement with the other partners in 'Thamanya for Publishing and Distribution' to increase its ownership stake from 51% to 75%, after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals, in a step that supports Thamanya's expansion into sports and non-sports visual content.
Thamanya holds exclusive broadcasting rights for Saudi football competitions for 2.32 billion riyals for a period of 6 years, with SRMG guaranteeing the implementation of the agreement. The rights include the King Cup, the Roshan Saudi League, the Saudi Super Cup, and the First Division League. The Saudi League and the Saudi Federation had announced in June 2025 that the exclusive broadcast rights were awarded to Thamanya, after competition among local and international media, digital broadcasting, and television companies.
