The Saudi Contractors Authority issued its monthly report on the contracting sector in the Kingdom for June 2026, aiming to provide contractors and investors with information on key developments in sector projects.
According to the report, 25 projects were awarded during June 2026, with a total value exceeding 29 billion riyals. These projects are scheduled to be implemented over five years, with completion expected between 2027 and 2031.
Thus, the number of projects awarded in the contracting sector since the beginning of this year rises to 86 projects, with a total value of approximately 100 billion riyals, as shown in the following table:

The report expected the completion of 3 projects with a total value of 768.8 million riyals in 2027, 11 projects worth 4.22 billion riyals in 2028, 3 projects worth 4.45 billion riyals in 2029, 7 projects worth 14.07 billion riyals in 2030, and one project worth 6 billion riyals in 2031.
According to the report, the construction and building sector accounted for the largest share of the value of projects awarded in June 2026, with a total of 20.63 billion riyals, representing 69.9% of the total project value, through 14 projects. The oil and gas sector came second with 3.84 billion riyals, followed by the water and energy sector with 3.51 billion riyals, while the infrastructure sector ranked fourth at 5.2% of the total, as shown in the table below:

The Eastern Province topped the Kingdom's regions in terms of the value of projects awarded in June 2026, with a total of 11.44 billion riyals distributed across 10 projects, followed by Riyadh region with 10.82 billion riyals across 9 projects, then Makkah region with 6.08 billion riyals through two projects, while the value of projects in Al-Baha region reached 810 million riyals for three projects, and Al-Qassim 370 million riyals for one project.

The National Housing Company topped the largest owners of awarded projects in June 2026 in terms of number and value, with a total of 6 projects worth 5.4 billion riyals, followed by Saudi Aramco with 4.9 billion riyals, then the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites with about 2 billion riyals, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority with about 1.4 billion riyals, and Dammam Airports Company with more than 1.1 billion riyals.

The report indicated that 23 projects are expected to be awarded to contractors in July 2026, with more than 60% concentrated in the construction and building sector. It is also expected that nearly half of these projects will be centered in the Eastern Province, Makkah, and Riyadh regions.
