Tunisia's tourism sector revenues grew by 4.4% during the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2025, reaching more than $1.1 billion, according to data published by the Central Bank of Tunisia.

As the sector enters its peak summer season, Tunisia aims to exceed the threshold of 12 million tourists in 2026, after achieving a record in 2025 with more than 11 million tourists.

Tunisia's tourism sector revenues for the entire year 2025 amounted to approximately $2.8 billion, according to the German news agency dpa.

On the other hand, a report by the Central Bank of Tunisia said that remittances from Tunisians for their children's education abroad, along with expenditure on academic training programs, rose in 2025 by 30% compared to the previous year.

According to the report, these remittances in foreign currency through the bank reached nearly 658 million Tunisian dinars (about $235 million), compared to 507.3 million dinars ($181 million) in 2024.

More than 30,000 Tunisian students study abroad, about half of them in French universities, while German universities attract seven thousand Tunisian students.
