A US official revealed that the Treasury Department has begun coordinating with the Commerce Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to prepare a list of Spanish products potentially subject to a trade ban in the coming days, ahead of submitting it to President Donald Trump for a final decision.

This development came after Trump ordered a halt to all forms of trade with Spain, including tourism activities, expressing his displeasure over Madrid's failure to meet NATO's target requiring member states to raise defense spending to 2% of GDP.
